Team Effectiveness: Is it achievable?

Simple, but not at all easy!

Teamwork is the collaborative effort to achieve a goal.
Brilliant ideas are developed and productivity improves with
team-working. It’s the collective and beneficial achievement
of different experiences and skill sets.
Managing and leading teams have become more
challenging after the pandemic hit the globe. The bigger and
more diverse the teams, the tougher it is to keep them engaged and
motivated all along.
Usually, high-performance teams align with their
communication and delegation patterns. But as there are
more remotely working teams in the organizations, it has
become a burden for the leader or top management to
maintain the drive and performance simultaneously.
In order to solve any disagreements or problems, it’s
imperative to understand the most common workplace
teamwork challenges and effective solutions for each.

Although there are some challenges that are unique to
each industry or field, some common teamwork challenges
are:

  • Lack of communication
  • Personality conflicts
  • Reduced engagement
  • Large teams
  • Rivalry among teammates
  • Goal clashes
  • Lack of self-awareness

Model of Team Effectiveness

Executing team Effectiveness

As with the development of any team, there will be challenges on
setting the roles, responsibilities, and liaison among the teammates.,
but the leader shall focus on a mix of goal completion and psychological
understanding along with experimenting with different tools and

standards of team effectiveness.
