Who is a Leader?
A leader by its meaning is one who goes first and leads by example so that others are motivated to follow him. They inspire their team, motivate them to perform to a higher level, and embody company values and culture.
Leadership is about setting a positive example for the team to follow, by being excited about the work, being motivated to learn new things, and helping out as needed through inspirational and experiential expertise.
‘Insight, integrity, and inclusiveness are the three essential qualities of leadership.’

- Toxic workplace culture – Leaders who bully or have favorites can contribute to a negative culture, making coming to work an unpleasant experience. This can lead to high staff turnover and poor service, eventually impairing the performance of the whole company.
Let’s understand the perks of effective leadership coaching.
Self-reflections:
Developing awareness through coaching can automate thoughts and myriad other behaviors and feelings by which the leader can start to have a different engagement with the team, and others in their life.
Powerful Listening:
Leaders can unlock a wide range of potential benefits for themselves and their teams, by honing one’s listening skills and being attuned to others. A coach can aid in developing communication and active listening skills that can be invaluable when leading the team.
Self-regulation:
Effective leadership coaching can help a leader to become better at regulating their emotional responses and develop a positive outlook. Coaching a leader to communicate more effectively can include setting clear expectations, offering constructive feedback
Growth mind-set:
Leadership coaching can help the leaders unlock their mind-set, as opposed to a fixed one. With this type of mind-set, leaders can see obstacles as opportunities for growth, not something to be dreaded or feared. Being flexible, bouncing back from setbacks, and thinking creatively is a powerful skill to develop which the coach instils in the leader. They demonstrate an ability to think holistically and a commitment to growth.
Leverage strengths:
Coaches are particularly mentored at helping the leaders to see the strengths and skill sets that can be utilized in the most productive way, which are often specific to the individuals. With the help of a coach, a leader can put their own and their team’s particular strengths to use in unique and beneficial ways.
Executive Presence:
More than just a catchy word, it’s about how a leader communicates, empathizes, shows up for his teams, and how they portray their leadership values to the world.
‘Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is about helping them to learn rather than teaching them.’
