One leadership style, that suits every Leader in the making!
“Humans will probably always need the help of especially gifted moral leaders in order to extend the bonds of caring and trust beyond the easy range of the family and the faceto-face community. Such bonds have become essential to the future of humanity.”
-Paul R. Lawrence (Driven To Lead: Good, Bad and Misguided Leadership)
The Leader is the one who builds the business and brings along a team of motivated people who participate in the growth of such business.
We do business with Humans, right?
Then how can we possibly deny the social aspect of leadership values?
It’s for the People, by the People & with the People!
People connect to this “Human” factor of a Leader, which enables them to work with their truest potential for the development of self as well as the organization.
It’s the “Human” who nurtures & builds a community of goal-oriented workforce embedded with human values like emotions, empathy, and inclusivity.
Any successful business is based on the foundation of policies oriented towards good human & social aspects.
The genesis of leadership is its humanness. If we don’t identify the importance of the human aspect of Leadership, we will not have a meaningful business, and for that matter, any great Leader.
Why are “Human” Leadership values important?
Human values of leadership are important because they help you determine how you want to achieve your goals and what type of leader you want to be.
When a Leader designs his leadership style aligned with his own personal human values, the
accountability becomes clear and goal-oriented. Having a strong set of core values as a good human being helps build respect and trust among your team.
This creates the foundation for you to influence your team in a positive way that encourages high performance and excellence.
Feel it? or deal with it?
The list certainly isn’t an exhaustive one, but it must have if you are a Leader!
As with the growing times, understanding of what “good leadership” means continues to change and is highly subjective.
But, there are few basic human sets of values that are the essence of any Leadership style.
If you are a Leadership coach or the Leader themselves, make it sure to incorporate more of what it means to be human, into the ways you lead!
We lead by being a Human, and not by being a corporate, professional, or institutional.
